Dennis Chua is a husband and father presently living in North Texas USA. When not wrangling code, he enjoys travel and photography. Ever the geek, he’s found himself smitten with Blender, the open-source 3D creation tool, and is in no hurry to free himself from its endless charms.

Career
Dennis’ professional journey has taken him from South East Asia to the Far East, and across various parts of the United States. He’s worked for NEC, Lucent Technologies; at academic teaching and research institutions, and at Bose, Broadcom and Canonical Ltd. The best parts about Dennis’ career have been the many colleagues he’s met, fellow professionals who’ve blessed him with their generosity, their guidance and their patient support.
A recovering C/C++ systems programmer, he’s heard the siren call of machine learning. Dennis aims to understand the secrets behind its allure. Someday, when he sits down with his grandchildren, he hopes to say with certainty whether AI rendered him obsolete or not.
